Metal, plating, gemstones and stone treatments are checked before a method is selected. Pearls, porous gems and some treated stones need particular care. Cleaning should not be treated as a substitute for repairing a loose setting.
What affects the repair cost?
The number of pieces, surface condition and access affect the work. Cleaning alone is different from scratch removal or refinishing. Deep marks, plating and detailed finishes require a separate discussion.
